Working with newborns and babies requires a set of skills that can only be gained through hands on experience. Professional coaching will give you a head start in your career, allowing you to quickly overcome the problems that new photographers face. You will also learn how to create the beautiful images that inspired you to choose this career!

I personally have 10+ years of experience working specifically with newborns and babies, having opened my first portrait photography business in 2011 in Amman, Jordan. I am a firm believer in education; continued growth and development is a must for all photographers, which is why I have and continue to invest in online courses for all aspects of this business. Finally, I am a certified portrait photographer (WPPI certification).

There are different coaching options available , either online or in person. Our coaching sessions are meant for photographers who understand the basics of portrait photography, who wish to specialize or improve their skills in newborn and baby photography. We will tailor your coaching experience to fit your needs, whether you are just starting out or are facing a specific problem.

Online Mentoring

An online coaching session for one student (1.5 hours), via Zoom that covers one of the following topics:

Image critique : This is where we will discuss some of your favorite images, and how they can be improved. Receiving critique is essential for growth, and will bring your attention to areas you might have missed.

Editing : learning how to edit will take your images to the next level, whether you need to learn the basics or more advanced editing, we can discuss your needs so you will get the most value.

Business : Receiving insight from someone in your field can be a game changer in your business. If you feel confident in your photography skills but are struggling with an aspect of running a business, then this session will be perfect for you.

One session 85 JD / Two sessions 150 JD

One on one newborn and Baby photography coaching

1. Basic One on one coaching

This one on one coaching session will teach you the basics of newborn and baby photography , it will be tailored to your current needs as it will be focused on two topics of your choice.

How to calm babies
Bean bag Posing
Prop posing
Wrapping Babies
Lighting (Natural and studio)
Family images
Older babies and cake smash sessions
Photo editing

The session will last for 3-4 hours and will include practice on a doll and a real baby (If needed).

One on one coaching 350 JD / extra topic for 100 JD

2. Complete newborn one on one coaching experience.

This one on one workshop allows you to experience a hands on newborn photo session. It covers three days of learning ; the first day will be dedicated to learning the basics of newborn photography on a posing doll (setting up, wrapping, lighting and basic posing).

On the second day, you will assist me during one complete session from setting up to posing to photographing a real baby. After the session takes place we will have a (2) hour meeting to edit some of the images from the session together where we can also discuss any questions you may have about running a business and other aspects of our work. It would be preferable if you would prepare a list of questions beforehand and send it to me so I can be prepared.

Complete coaching experience 850 JD

If you would like me to coach you online or by phone after the workshop, and guide you as you begin to work on your business, there is an additional fee of 200 JD , for one month of guidance.

Includes 2 (45 minute) zoom calls and communicating via whatsapp.

It has taken many years of learning, practice and research for me to reach the level I am at right now. The knowledge I have gained isn’t something you would be able to find easily elsewhere in Jordan. The prices of the coaching sessions are based upon the exclusivity of this training as well as the fact that it’s (One on one) meaning I will be dedicating my time to only one student.
